Striped Agate

Agate is found all over the world including Africa, Egypt, Germany, Italy, and the USA. It is said to prevent insomnia, to enhance courage and to promote strength and healing. It is also the mystical birthstone for September and the accepted gemstone for the 12th and 14th wedding anniversaries.
This is striped agate, a beautiful stone with subtle markings. I have combined the teardrop beads with black onyx. I had considered mixing the agate with something more colourful, but in the end just settled for plain black. It's so classy.

Purple passion

I can't resist purple and fuchsia pinks. They are such sultry and sensuous colours. This is a jade jewellery set that will warm you on the chilliest of evenings.

The last days of summer

I woke up this morning thinking of blue. Not the boy band, but the colour. It must be all this warm sunny weather we've been having. So I've decided  to make something blue to remind me of these last summer days ... something cool: ice blue perhaps, with lots of bali silver glinting like sunlight on still water.
